Econofitness times vary depending the location; the location I went to was open from 6am to 11pm every day. The most common membership offered at Econofitness costs $4.99 bi-weekly.
I went to the gym by myself focusing the day with free weights as I worked out my whole body. I wanted to do a full body workout by targeting each muscle.
Before the gym I was excited to try this gym as it looked very spacious and open. However, finding parking was a struggle and lessened my will to go as I felt like I had already done the workout through the time I’d spent parking. Once I began my workout, I loved it there; I felt that I really was doing a good workout. I was motivated and happy; pushing myself the most since I started. After my workout I was happy with myself and content that I pushed through. I felt as if it was the best workout I’d had out of the three gyms.
I learnt that the process is hard but worth going through it. I’ll always have obstacles and not have enough time to go; but it makes me feel good about myself so I’ll need to find the time on my own. I learnt that I work out better by myself than with others. I liked the feeling of space and openness the gym had. I liked the way I felt afterwards. I disliked the location of the gym; it was far too crowded (place bell) and too complicating to park at. I’m very glad that I went and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
Week 2 Questions
I would like to get more flexible; touch my toes without it hurting. Three things that would motivate me into keeping up with an exercise routine would be achieving my goals, feeling happier, and easy acces to the gym. Three things that would prevent me from going is laziness, fatigue and lack of motivation.
Week 3 Questions
I love dance and working out at the gym. I had given up competitive dance as it interfered with school but turned to the gym instead. I prefer working out at the gym because I have no motivation to do it at home. I feel more successful when I leave the house. I could see myself using weights and machines for the remaining part of this program. Once I get into the groove and comfortability of working out often, I could see myself doing these exercises for the remainder of my life.
